FITTING INSTRUCTION

WARNING
  • Accessories which are not correctly installed can be dangerous. Read the instructions carefully prior to installation. Comply with instructions at all times. If in doubt, contact your nearest approved retailer.
CAUTION
  • If protective wax has been applied to the vehicle it must be thoroughly removed before starting this procedure.
NOTE
  • The vehicle must be clean, dry and at workshop temperature. Vehicles moved into the workshop from cold or wet conditions should be dried and left to stand for a minimum of 2 hours.
  • Left side illustrations shown. Right side is similar.
REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING
  • Make sure to support the vehicle using axle stands.

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable lift.

CAUTION
  • Make sure the top of the rear mudflap is correctly positioned. The mudflap must first locate in the rear bumper crease as highlighted by arrow X in the illustration.

Position the rear mudflap onto the rear bumper.

  1. Mark the 3 hole positions on to the bumper using the holes in the rear mudflap as a guide.

WARNING
  • Make sure to wear suitable protective eyewear equipment.

Drill 3 holes of 10 mm diameter at the locations marked in step 2.

  • Make sure to wear suitable personal protective equipment.
CAUTION
  • Allow to dry for a minimum of 60 seconds before proceeding to the next step.

Using the supplied cleaner, (E), clean the highlighted area.

  • Make sure to wear suitable personal protective equipment.
CAUTION
  • Allow to dry for a minimum of 60 seconds before proceeding to the next step.

Apply the supplied adhesion promoter, (F), to the highlighted area.

Remove the backing from the adhesive tape.

CAUTION
  • Make sure the top of the rear mudflap is correctly positioned. The rear mudflap must first be located in the bumper crease as highlighted by the arrow X in the illustration.
NOTE
  • Make sure that no gap exists between the rear bumper and the rear mudflap.

Install the rear mudflap onto the rear bumper.

  1. Fit the mudflap in the sequence as illustrated.

Secure the rear mudflap to the rear bumper.

  1. Install the rear mudflap backing plate (B)
  2. Install the larger washer (G) to the fixing (H)
  3. Install and tighten fixings to the rear mudflap.
  4. Torque 2Nm.

Inspect the final installation of the rear mudflap.

Lower the vehicle to the ground.
