FITTING INSTRUCTION

WARNING
  • Accessories which are not correctly installed can be dangerous. Read the instructions carefully prior to installation. Comply with instructions at all times. If in doubt, contact your nearest approved retailer.
CAUTION
  • If protective wax has been applied to the vehicle it must be thoroughly removed before starting this procedure.
  • The vehicle must be clean, dry and at workshop temperature. Vehicles moved into the workshop from cold or wet conditions should be dried and left to stand for a minimum of 2 hours.
NOTE
  • Left side illustrations shown. Right side is similar.
Fitting Instruction

WARNING
  • Make sure to support the vehicle using axle stands.

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable lift.

Remove the front wheels and tires.

Remove the screw securing the wheel arch liner as illustrated.

Release the wheel arch liner.

Position the front mudflap at the installation position. Mark the location where the hole at the base of the front mudflap needs to be drilled. The hole will be used for locating the screw (F) and the nut (H).

Mark the location where the 2 holes at the side of the front mudflap need to be drilled. The holes will be used for locating the 2 scrivets (E).

CAUTION
  • Do not exceed a depth of 15 mm.

Drill a 8 mm diameter hole at the location marked in step 5. The hole will go through the fender cladding and the sill cladding.

  • Do not exceed a depth of 15 mm.

Drill 2 holes of 8 mm diameter at the locations marked in step 6. The upper hole will go through the fender cladding and the front wheel arch cladding. The lower hole will go through only the fender cladding.

  1. Install the nut (H). Make sure the nut aligns with the drilled hole.

  • Make sure to wear suitable personal protective equipment.
CAUTION
  • Allow to dry for a minimum of 60 seconds before proceeding to the next step.

Using the supplied cleaner (C), clean the illustrated area.

Apply the supplied adhesion promoter (D) to the illustrated area.

Remove and discard the backing from the adhesive strip.

CAUTION
  • Make sure that the front mudflap is correctly positioned against the vehicle body as illustrated.

Install the front mudflap onto the vehicle body as illustrated.

Install the supplied screw (F) and the washer (G) into the nut (H).

  • Torque: 2 Nm

Install the 2 supplied scrivets (E) as illustrated.

Return the wheel arch liner to the correct position. Secure the wheel arch liner.

  • Torque: 2 Nm

Install the front wheels and tires.
